Static Primary Water Switch (pressure)

This is an extract from our Combination Boiler Handbook.

Primary water exerts pressure underneath the diaphragm to operate a switch. This informs  the boiler that there is enough pressure in the primary circuit for safe operation.

Symptom: Indication Possible fault Remedy
No heating or hot water. Neon lit on boiler indicating low pressure. System pressure low Top up on filling loop and check for leaks.
Faulty Switch - replace.
System pressure OK (1 bar or above). Loose electrical connection.
Blockage - water side of diaphragm.
